I haven't seen the sat morn series OR the tapes (titles like STOLEN ON THE RIVER, BANG 'EM HIGH , LEGEND OF SKULL DUGGERY and ANOTHER FINE MESA), but I have read part of a fan-fic where some men, searching for something, stumble onto the main town of the people of Moo Mesa. The Cow Boys tell them of their origin (weird meteor from space mutated lifeforms) and then wonder if ,once these guys go back to civilization, whether they can be trusted to NOT tell others of their existence...
A few of my own characters were cows -one family - but they are not in the retconned cut, tho houywnwmns are, as well as rats, roos, skunks, dolphins, dogs, rabbits and foxes, but they are mutant freaks in a mostly human world.
It's all academic as I downed drawing tools some 16 years ago, and went onto other interests.
